Branson Veal - Creative Director / Director / Conceptual Lead
Branson’s the guy who’ll buy you a drink, then tell you the truth about yourself before you’ve even taken a sip. A creative director who’s been around the block so many times he knows the cracks in the pavement by name. He’s made ads people actually remember, the kind you see once and feel in your teeth. He’s shot films in cities where the air smells like gasoline and grilled meat, told stories for billionaires and nobodies, and made both of them look like they belonged on the same screen.
He’s not “nice” in the way HR would write it up. He’s the guy who’ll call bullshit in the meeting, pull the plug on a bad idea, then take the team out for tacos to celebrate. He’s fiercely loyal to his crew, the kind of boss who’ll take the hit so they don’t have to, and the kind of man who protects them like family. But don’t mistake that for softness. The work comes first, always. If it’s not good enough, it’s going back until it is.
Branson’s the kind of guy who sees a beach and wonders what’s just past it. Who’ll cook you a meal that makes you forget about your phone. Who’ll ask you one question that makes you rethink the answer you’ve been living with for years.
You can love him, or not, but you can’t ignore him. And if you’re lucky, you’ll catch him in that sweet spot between the last drink and the first light of morning, when he’s at his most dangerous, and his most honest.
His work has been recognised by Communication Arts: both Design and Advertising Annuals, Cannes Festival of Creativity, The One Show, The ANDYs, and, of course, his 5th-grade soccer participation medal, which, at the time, meant just about the same as these industry accolades.
